There are ample opportunities for walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing, wildlife watching, diving, boating, island hopping, visiting historical sites, museums, visiting geological sites. taking in the numerous coastal views, photography, painting, winter activities and, of course, visits to distilleries! There are numerous events occuring in the region throughout the season.

Corbetts: there are 10 within a 10 mile radius, of which 4 can be seen from Heatherbank.

Heatherbank is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and is the perfect location to relax. The wildlife of the Ardnamurchan peninsula and Mull includes Red Deer, Otters, Pine Martens, Wild Cats, Black Grouse and the splendid Golden & Sea Eagles. Enjoy Bird Watching - Walking - Cycling - Climbing - Boat Trips - Touring - Fishing.

The area is renowned for its geology and Heatherbank is within walking distance of the old Strontian Mines.

 

Heatherbank is situated in 6 acres of croft on the edge of open moorland at OS grid reference NM 819639 (Explorer Map 391 or Landranger Map 40). The village of Strontian and Loch Sunart lie below. Strontian is situated at the base of the Ardnamurchan peninsula, the end of which forms the most westerly point of the British mainland overlooking Mull, Iona and the small isles.

Heatherbank is ideally placed for exploring Loch Sunart, Loch Sheil, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, Morven, Ardgour, Mull and Iona, Moidart, the Nevis range and Glen Coe. There is also easy access to Oban, Fort William, Mallaig for the Skye ferry and nearby Silver Sands and Loch Morar.

Heatherbank also offers a four berth static caravan for holiday lets on a weekly basis - Saturday to Saturday.
